Default Losi Mini Pro rebuild

Well after sadly and very unwillingly selling my last lots of Minis a while back, I have been wanting to get into another one. I finally found another one for a good price and now I can start playing again.

Its nothing real special right now. Came with Rc Bros over the axle steering, Rc bros front link mount, and I added a Billet Works Design motor plate. And the coolest thing...It came with a Holmes Hobbies Torquemaster Mini with only 2 runs on it lol.

Cant wait to get this thing going.

I'm jelly, A holmes motor and RcBros steering! I'm trying to piece together what ever I can find for my coming mini builds.

I cant wait to actually get working on this one. The last one I built I put alot of time into and never even got to really try it out.

I built this one last year sometime...

Billet Works Designs LoPro 2.0 chassis and links. LoPro 2.0 Cab.
Novak Mongoose Brushless
VP Comp wheels
MIP driveshafts.

I really wish I would have kept this one...I may do this again but in carbon fiber. I used the G10 last time, and it was really nice but I like the carbon look better.

Minor update. Placed an order for a bunch of parts for the mini. I started getting some today.

Ended up getting a set of MIP driveshafts and Hot Racing spur and transmission gears.

Now for everything else to come in. Hopefully I will have everything else next week. Got a comp in about 2 weeks I would love to run the truck at.

Got some more parts in today for the Mini and go to work right away.

Assembled the Super Shaft UpperHafty Wheels, with Beef patties for a little weight. With 400 slw hubs I am just under the 8 inch width for my local comps.

All done with these. Not sure how well it will all perform but it looks good lol.

Than went on to install the Hot Racing gears.

Than I did the internals and a light coat of grease.

Now just waiting on my chassis from BWD and I can get this thing together.

The stub shafts have a habit of wallowing out the aluminum and eventually stripping out, seems people have been jb welding them in to make them last longer.

I read that earlier, than totally spaced out doing that when putting it together. I will probably jb weld it this weekend. I still got about a week or so before I need to run it.

Sadly the RCbros stuff hasn't been made for a while that I know if. Billet Works Designs has a website for their stuff. Also Dravtech has some awesome stuff too.

Alot of people stopped making stuff for the mini a few years ago, Billet Works, Dravtech, and JC Auto design are a few of the places that continue to keep these things alive with Chassis's and other parts.

Well had a chance to go to a comp so threw the mini together with the stock pro chassis.

I hastily crammed the BR Mini, Castle Bec, and Spektrum receiver in. Not pretty, but it works lol.

And this is how it sat....

The comp went great, sadly due to family stuff going on I only got to run one course, however, my nephew couldn't run the truck enough lol. He went threw more batteries than I did lol

After I got home, I ended up getting some more Mini's. With the way my nephew and son want to run them, I am going to need more lol.

I started setting this one up for one of them. Its just a roller right now, but that will change shortly.

Now just to wait for my stuff from Billet Works for my black one, and I can turn that one into a runner for the kids. lol.

I actually have 4 mini's now lol. 2 pro's, 2 with aftermarket chassis's.

Sadly the metal/aluminum steering stuff is no longer made. It was from RC Bros originally.

Decided to snap a quick pic of my collection so far....I am getting there. lol. Not pictured is the Slickrock I picked up this weekend. Its getting shipped out today so wont have that one for a couple days.

Got my other parts today for some of the others I am working on. So time to get something done.

Started working on getting another trans together. Had to clean it, grease it, and reassemble. Not sure which truck this one will be for, but at least its together.

Sure am glad I got a big desk...apparently my car thinks that axles, links, chassis rails, and a bag of screws is comfy lol.

The big metal plate is an Rc Bros rear link/electronics mount.

Honestly, most of the Mini's I have found where on here. So far the black mini, and the Slickrock are the only ones I have found on facebook.

The trans gears are available on Ebay, just search Losi Mini Rock Crawler. The spur gears are available too.

The motor mount is from Billet Works Designs. I was lucky to pick up this one, its his older style. I also have one of his newer style. I plan on picking up some more shortly.
