Default Hobbywing 1080 vs fusion pro

I searched a lot online and it seems that generally people are recommending the fusion pro over the brushed 1080.
I am curious because the fusion only has a 40 amp esc but the 1080 is 80 amp
Is the brushless that much better with half the amps? Or maybe the fusion is just perfectly teamed up esc and motor where the 1080 can be paired however
