| Finally built a backyard crawler course for my SCX24
Right off the bat I have to give a shout to JimK for providing the inspiration that got the ball rolling with this. It was his krawler kourse thread that I kept watching prior to me getting to work on mine. So the course is currently 20 feet long and a few feet wide. It will probably grow and change a bit but as of right now it's complete enough to show here. It starts at a series of concrete pavers, some intact and stacked while others I broke apart to create more organic ledges. From here you can go straight to the log section about 2' long or you can climb the challenging ledges up to the suspension bridge. Both of those sections meet up at another concrete paver section with a couple of round pavers to make things more interesting. At that point you head to the rocks... the longest section. Most of these chunks are actually rip-rap but I'm calling them rocks anyway. Onto the pics and again, big thanks to JimK for posting his course build and lighting the fire under me ass to get my own course going. |
